About
Cavendish Express Cabs went out of business leaving our client with a dilemma as to what to do with this ground floor office space.
Our client's children owned the adjoining maisonette and it was decided that the office would be converted into an extension of the house.
We worked to ensure that permissions were granted for the change of use and for the changes to the facade. The design incorporates the traditional features of the original shop fronts found on the street whilst creating a more domestic feel that unifies the whole building. Internally the existing office partitions were stripped and the rooms thoroughly renovated.
We managed the contract through to completion with the contractor.
"ALU drew up the plans for our project with enthusiasm and came up with a great final design. It was followed through with the minimum of fuss and genuine attention to detail even though there were many unforeseen difficulties and hold ups. He dealt with the financial side of the conversion smoothly and took care of looking after all aspects of the work from inception to completion." Jan
"Thank you for your help. We're all very pleased with the result"
